Just as stores will be opening their doors to Black Friday sales earlier than ever at midnight, most of the low prices have already been announced online well before turkeys and stuffing have been prepared. For Blu-ray collectors, some deals can be had already – Best Buy has dropped the price of “Bridesmaids,” “Paul,” “Rango” and “The Big Lebowski”, “Scarface” and “Rio” to $11.99 and the X-Men Trilogy to $20, Costco has HBO series “Rome,” “John Adams,” and “Generation Kill” for $20, and Amazon starts their week of deals bright and early Monday morning. [UPDATE: Target has dropped prices on a number of Blu-rays in advance of Black Friday, including “Black Swan” for $9.99, “Rabbit Hole” for $8.99, “Shutter Island” for $10.99 the “Jurassic Park” trilogy for $30 and more.] [2ND UPDATE: Amazon dropped too many prices to count, but they can be found at Blu-ray.com, including the Bourne Trilogy for $23.99 as well as “X-Men: First Class” and “Bridesmaids” for $9.99 Sony Classics, Lionsgate and Anchor Bay/Weinstein also appear well-represented.]
What’s compiled below is an alphabetical list of all the Blu-rays thus far that have been advertised for deep discounts at the four major hubs for bargain hunters – Target, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Amazon (who is likely to price match the others).
